Starting with the customer experience and only then going to the technical and financial problems. 

This answer is good advice for any business person. We have all come across the technical guy with his great idea that takes us nowhere.

2020 was the year when we all looked more than ever before to the right and the left. Then while we crossed the road, we got hit by a truck. Well, 2020 is over.

Every New Year brings a new cycle and the promise backed by figures that better days are coming. In fact, there is good reason to believe that it will be better than most think. Currently, the worst of COVID looks behind us. It has been challenging, alright, but we kept our clients going 24x7.  We all did very well.

So let me wish you a happy 2021 and may your wishes come true.

Are you ready for Christmas, have you tested that all you need is working?

Yesterday, a customer rang up at about 5 pm. One of the computers does not work where he needs it to work. I am sure it's the cable.  

Great stuff with less then a week to go, the business is not prepared. 

Right now, that retail business should have been concentrating on sales, not maintenance.

Still, it did give me a chance to say another quote. I love them.

Anyway if you have not done it, you need to check everything. Make a checklist and go through it.

In my experience, almost all checks find something.

There is no magic pill that will make your computer system work your business.  

Every computer person and businessperson for that matter, who is good at it, prepares, puts a lot of work into it and has failed many times.

In the end, despite all the hype, it's all you.

No-one runs before they walk.

In computers, learn something. 

Use it and once you achieve success, then use your success to go further.

In business, success is not a day work. Even if you make significant decisions, you need continuous small and incremental work to get it to work. 

A 1% improvement a week alone will in a year give you a dramatic result.

We can’t predict what the future will hold. Technology, the economy, etc. are all moving.  However hard it is to go forward, there is no going back. There is no normal.

We must adapt.

Remember the Bob Dylan song "for the times they are a-changin", 

Well the earth has shifted and we are in uncharted territory.

Henry Ford stated, "So long you have your eyes on the goal, you don't see obstacles."

See how this bird's flight is just incredible. She dodges a very complex obstacles, to get her goal.

In business and computers passion, determination, and commitment are essential. Success requires a focus on the objectives. This focus avoids the distractions that divert you onto extraneous obstacles.

Okay, your business processes are not exactly right. This grates!
