While talking to a group of newsagents in a meeting yesterday, I noticed several did not know about Supanews.
It has 41 stores, a turnover of over $100 million a year, and is growing rapidly. It is innovative and owned by a huge company, A&R Whitcoulls, which has a group revenue of AUD 394.9 million. This group is also the biggest bookseller in Australia.
Supanews considers itself to be the most professional, successful and leading newsagency retailer in Australia.
It claims that it has newsagents worried and there is much truth in that although my meeting showed not everyone.
