Mother's Day is getting close

Overall it looks that we can expect a Mother's Day shopping experience similar to the previous years as you can see from the last 30 days chart from Google Trends which measures the public interest compared over the past few years in the same period.

Blue is the last 30 days in 2018

Red is the same period in 2017

Yellow is the same period in 2016

There is not that much difference between them.

What I do suggest that you need to make sure that you have the stock you require for Mother's Day now because if you look at this information from 2017 shown here.

What you will see is that it goes from 25% to 100% in a couple of days and then drops almost as fast. If you do not have the right stock, you will miss out. Conversely, if you have too much stock there is an excellent chance you will have no easy way of getting rid of it without deep discounts. You need to plan carefully.

One point to note is is that contrary to popular belief, there is a lot of repeat business in retail in Mother's Day as it is quite common for people to buy gifts for wife, mother and grandmother.

If you want a terrific report on our POS Software that I do suggest you run to see any current problems now in your stock situation click here.
