Newspaper prices

I was reading here about some of the newspapers in the USA. The problem there is advertising revenue is not enough now so they are raising their cover prices to get the revenue. Something that I think should be done here too.

Then the crazy prices should also be stopped, here is one example

Fairfax gets $10 for this subscription. The retail cost for a Melbourne Age for a Friday is $1.50, Saturday $2.50, Sunday $2.00 and Monday $1.50 equals $7.50 for 52 weeks. So the value of the offer is $390.00. It works out to a 97% discount. What is the sense in that?
