Well, the latest Audit Bureau of Circulations (ABC) figures on weekly magazines is a shocker. I decided to add a few more years to the report to get a longer perspective. It did not make the picture prettier as it showed not just that its down but that the downward trend is getting bigger. Here it is.
If you look at these figures, you can see several magazines NW, OK! and YOURS which are hovering at dangerous figures. In my experience that figure is about 50,00 copies.
I counted it from 2013 to 2014 in this quarter it dropped -6.8%
From 2014 to 2015, it dropped -11.7%
In 2015 to 2016, it dropped -13.0%
So what is going to happen to them in 2016 to 2017???
These declines must in someway be reflected in my clients figures.
