Fred Hollows Foundation

We have supported Fred Hollows foundation for ages. We have also done promotional work for them. But we were all here pleasantly shocked when we received from their CEO Brian Doolan today, a personal thank you. It made us feel happy.

Earth Hour

I think that anyone in business would agree that getting power bills down would be a good idea. Much of it is just waste. Photocopies, plasma screens and laser printers left on at night uselessly drain power.

So to us joining Earth hour although a symbolic gesture, is important. It shows that we as a company care. I think it is a good idea to join to show that you care too. Many in your community will.

Overall about 30 million people took part in around the world at 8 PM on Saturday 29 March. It is just symbolic but so many sharing makes a powerful message in our community.

CFA - Peter The Fireman

People rang up our support bay over a few weeks last February asking. "Where is Peter?"

Our receptionist had to keep saying, he is in the country fire authority and is fighting the bushfires.

Combined Rehabilitation Services - NSW

Combined Rehabilitation Services in NSW is an organization that works hard to find jobs for people with disabilities and mature age workers. Since we have many sites in that region, they asked us for help. Then they discussed with us how hard it is for them to find employment in the Newcastle and Central Coast regions as it is so competitive now there to get a job.

So we came up with an idea. We would be happy to donate a few hours or a day (possibly on Saturday) to run a training course in basic PosBrowser Cash Register and customer accounts for these job seekers. At the end they would have a certificate that they have completed a POS Solutions-run course in PosBrowser basic course. This they could include in their resume.
